As Halloween has become a season as much as a one-day celebration, especially with the calendar shifting to October tomorrow (Thurs.), Nevada City Rotary is gearing up for what they say will be weeks-long festivities. That includes painted pumpkins on display in local businesses through October 14^th.  There’s also a Scavenger Hunt. And Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Lynn Skrukrud, who is also a Rotary member, says the highlight of the month will be the Pumpkins Palooza Family Celebration, at the Miners Foundry, on October 15^th.  She says the event continues to grow, after two years of being held there…

Skrukrud says all the painted pumpkins from the businesses will be on display at the event..

Pumpkins Chair Tom Ryan says, in a Rotary news release, that local artists are transforming the pumpkins, plus a few gourds, into adoring, unique designs. The Pumpkins Palooza is from 5:30 to 8pm at the Miners Foundry.
