Chris Gilbert September 30, 2026

A Grass Valley car dealership owner is facing felony embezzlement and theft charges after allegedly failing to pay vehicle owners for cars sold on consignment.
The owner of a used vehicle dealership in Grass Valley is facing felony embezzlement changes. Police Lieutenant Dale Norvell says the Department was told that 68-year-old John Isaeff (Is-ay-eff) received a complaint from two people who had an agreement with him to sell vehicles on their behalf at Gold Country Motors…
Norvell says each vehicle was sold for an estimated 15 to 20-thousand dollars and owners must get their money within 20 days, under such an agreement…
Charges also include felony theft. Norvell says he can’t
recall a case like this in a long time.
