Another high honor for the Nevada County Department of Child Support Services. They have gotten their highest ranking ever…
Department Director Tex Ritter says the five measures include legally identifying the parents of children, establishing child support orders for parents, the percentage collected on those orders, collection on past due child support, and cost effectiveness–measuring how much is spent to collect child support. Small counties have a slight advantage over larger counties because there are fewer complaints, but Ritter says that’s not why their ranking came out so high…
Nevada County ranked sixth last year, and has been int he top ten every year since 2010. San Luis Obispo County was number one.
