And then there’s Victoria Boyd who was born with distal spinal muscular atrophy, a rare genetic condition. Victoria’s already had two major back-to-back surgeries. The Dover, Pennsylvania, teen is soon headed to Philadelphia where she’ll undergo eight hours of spinal surgery. That’s where ‘Victoria’s Smile Box’ comes into play. Her family is asking people to take a minute out of their day to send Victoria a couple words of encouragement.
