The unusual weather this spring has created an abundance of baby bees and according to Dan Wheat owner of A to Z supply and local bee keeper, bee hives are splitting and swarms of bees are being seen in our area.
Wheat says the activity is expected to peak with this week’s warm weather and could last over the next month. Wheat says If you find a swarm of bees on your property you should leave them alone and call a professional.
You can call Dan Wheat Sr. at A to Z Supply at 273-6608 and he will be able to put you in touch with the local bee keepers association to collect the bees if you find a swarm on your property.
