Nevada County Consolidated Fire Captain Kevin Menet and the staff at Grass valley Fire Station one on Brighton Street had a visitor yesterday, a 5 year old boy who claimed that his mother had left him home alone. Captain Menet, being a father of young sons himself noticed the boy was well dressed and his hair was combed, not consistent with a 5 year old left to his own devices, so he talked with him.

The boy climbed into the patrol with officer Matteoni of the Grass Valley police department and he was safely returned to the school.
