Four Teens Arrested In Death Of Condon Park Skateboarder

Four teens have been arrested nearly a year after a deadly encounter at Condon Park, with prosecutors seeking to charge the group as adults for the fatal vehicle theft.
Nearly a year after the death of a man in Condon Park, four teen boys have been arrested. Grass Valley Police Lieutenant Brian Blakemore says during the course of the investigation detectives learned that these friends had agreed to travel to the park, with the intention of stealing a vehicle, on the night of November seventh. That’s where they encountered a skateboarder at the skatepark, identified as 51-year-old Jason Frost, who was from Sacramento County…
Blakemore says the suspects then reportedly removed the keys
from Frost’s pants pocket and drove his vehicle around Placer and Nevada
Counties all night. Around sunrise, they abandoned the vehicle near McCourtney
and Indian Springs Roads. Blakemore says three of the boys were 17 at the time
and another was 14. All four are from Western Nevada County, with one also splitting
residency in Sacramento County…
Blakemore says because of their ages, the boys’ names are not being released at this time. Specific charges haven’t been filed yet but Blakemore is also indicating that there will be efforts to prosecute the suspects as adults. For now, they’ve been booked into Placer County Juvenile Hall.
