He has taught at The Mark Adams School of Woodworking, Sierra Nevada College, The Curious Forge, and through arts education programs. His work earned the Woodworking Network’s People’s Choice Award in 2016, and his teaching has inspired many—including apprentices who went on to become professional carvers, such as Disney carver Raymond Kinman.
