Muse Lab - A Generative Writing Group + Open Mic Muse Lab is a monthly, all-ages experiment in writing, attention, music, performance and the unknown. Through guided writing sprints, self-inquiry, strange questions, and creative prompts, we use writing as a tool for discovery - to witness what's here, explore what's hidden, and conjure things we didn't know were there. Music moves beneath the experience as we follow the thread and see what emerges. This isn't a writing class. It's an invitation to be present, get curious and discover something unexpected - together. There's a special kind of permission that comes from creating alongside others, where vulnerability invites vulnerability, strangers become collaborators, and new connections take root. No writing experience necessary, and no pressure to share. After the Lab, we open the room for an eclectic open mic featuring poetry, storytelling, spoken word and whatever else people bring to the stage. Slots are limited to 5 mins. Longer slots available for musicians. Performances aren't limited to work created during the Lab. Come to write, perform, listen or just see what happens. Participation over perfection. Curiosity encouraged.
