On Saturday, November 21st, the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Nevada County Branch hosts a “Local Scholarship Symposium,” featuring more than a dozen past and recent AAUW scholarship recipients. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and talk with recipients who will share their experiences, including challenges and insights as college students. In addition, they’ll hear more about the AAUW Local Scholarship program, which has awarded more than 300 scholarships to Nevada County women since 1946. Free and open to the public, this unique fundraiser will be 9:30 to 11:30 A.M., at Peace Lutheran Church, 828 West Main Street, Grass Valley. Owens Wealth & Estate Management Group is generously sponsoring this event.
