Application Period Underway Young Entrepreneurs Pitch Week

High school students in Western Nevada County can now apply for the third annual Young Entrepreneurs Pitch Week. Compete for a $1,500 grand prize by developing and presenting your best business ideas.
The application period for the third annual Young Entrepreneurs Pitch Week is now underway. Project Coordinator Jeff Dellis says this free program, which starts November 30th, invites high school students from Western Nevada County to develop new business ideas over the course of that week. They then present their concepts at what’s called a Futurepreneurs Pitch Showcase on Friday, December Fourth, at the Board of Supervisors Chamber, from five to seven pm…
The Showcase, which lasts only five minutes, offers
participants the chance to compete for cash prizes, receive expert feedback,
gain exposure for their ideas, and build confidence presenting in a
professional setting. Dellis says he’s always impressed with the number of
teenagers interested in entrepreneurship and the ideas they bring. He says many
are already thinking about careers and some are already running their own web-based
businesses…
The Grand Prize is worth 15-hundred dollars. The application
deadline is Friday, November sixth. Dellis says the county has created a Google
form at “NevadaCountyCA-dot-gov-forward slash-Pitch Week.
