Hundreds of Career Technical Education students will be attending Wednesday’s Nevada County Contractors Association Trade Expo at the Fairgrounds. Talking about it during a recent “KNCO: Insight", Nevada Joint Union High School District Assistant Superintendent, Luke Browning, said the event is designed to support local construction programs by giving students meaningful, interactive experiences and career pathways within the industry…
Jeff Hansen, with the Grass Valley-based construction firm Hansen Brothers, said it’s helps people in the industry get a peek at the potential future workforce…
Hansen said a very representative and vast array of the trades is represented at the Expo, also including architects, engineers, plumbers, roofers, and landscapers. The Association says exhibitors at the event play a direct role in educating students, by sharing knowledge and demonstrating tools or techniques. And they say that involvement helps strengthen the local workforce, helping to ensure the future of the construction industry in the county.
