Highway 49 was blocked by a car accident near Brewer Road, Tuesday afternoon. CHP Public Information Officer Marc Morrison says the driver of a 1996 Buick was south bound when her car ran off the right side of the road and she over corrected. Officer Morrison says the car started to spin in circles as it came back on the road, now going north bound.

The car was struck from behind by a 56-year-old Nevada City woman in a 1993 Audi. Both women were taken to area hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injures. Officer Morrison says too many people in the same situation over correct, when slowing down when you run off the road would be better.
