A Candlelight Vigil will be held tomorrow evening in Grass Valley to honor the memory of Sarah Donaldson-Burr, who was killed last year in Colfax. Burr was pregnant and staying with her boyfriend Lee Konnerth at his home in Colfax when an argument between the two reportedly heated up and Burr was found shot to death on the porch of the home on May 15th of last year. Lee Konnerth was charged with homicide and his case is still working it’s way through Placer County Superior Court. The Candlelight Vigil to honor Burr, who was 29 at the time of her death, is hosted by the Nevada County Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalition at the request of Sarah’s family and friends. DVSAC Executive Director Niko Johnson says it will be a time for the community to come together and take a stand against Domestic Violence and encourage all victims of violence to speak out and seek help. Johnson says the vigil will be sensitive to the murder trial in Placer County that is expected to get underway this summer.
